Paradigm Security Services Recognizes Outstanding Performance And Excellence In Service for 2020

Each month, the Paradigm Security leadership team reviews nominations for the Security Officer of the Month. Congratulations to these team members who go above and beyond to exemplify the Core Values of Paradigm Security.

December 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Jelisha Thrower

Officer Thrower has been a very dependable employee during her short tenure at Paradigm Security Services. She has mainly been assigned to a distribution center client and has done an excellent job there. Officer Thrower’s work ethic and attention to detail are admirable. She thoroughly completes numerous and different reports throughout her shifts. At the end of 2020, she was assigned to her primary site which was closed for the holidays. She was completing security rounds when she discovered a frozen/broken water pipe spewing water. She immediately called her supervisor to report the issue. A maintenance worker was dispatched to resolve the problem. Her observations and quick action prevented an untold amount of damage and repair costs. A few nights later, Officer Thrower was on patrol at the same client site when she discovered ANOTHER frozen/broken water pipe spewing water. She again called her supervisor to get a maintenance response before too much damage could be done. Once again, her quick action and observations prevented a potential catastrophe from occurring — ESPECIALLY when no employees were or would be present.

November 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Bernice Maynard-Andrews

Officer Maynard-Andrews has proven to be an exceptionally dependable employee and team member. Her work ethic and attention to detail are admirable. During each shift, she thoroughly documents and completes numerous and varying reports at her primary client site. She has observed and reported issues to supervision on her client site to meet or exceed client expectations. She then has “taken ownership” to resolve the matters. In November, Officer Maynard-Andrews went above and beyond her usual dependable self. In addition to her regular shifts, she covered other shifts at various times and different client locations — oftentimes with little or no notice. Each time, she arrived on time for her shift and looked professional. Even though some of the client sites were unfamiliar, she quickly acclimated to perform the required tasks and duties. Officer Maynard-Andrews also took care of additional client requests. Officer Maynard-Andrews’s willingness to help in any way she can is appreciated by everyone at Paradigm. October 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month William Fulford

Since being recently hired, Officer Fulford has performed his duties with professionalism and efficiency during his regularly scheduled shifts. He is assigned to a client site that required extra attention due to several factors. Since he has been assigned to his post, the issues have diminished considerably. Officer Fulford’s performance in a short time has given everyone involved the confidence he can meet client expectations. But Officer Fulford put his Paradigm Academy Training to the test during two separate and extraordinary events during October. Officer Fulford distinguished himself above his standard “normal” duties by investigating an alleged rape at the client site he was assigned. He quickly made appropriate notifications to local law enforcement and efficiently completed the reporting requirements. The second event did not occur at a Paradigm client site, but Officer Fulford’s quick actions likely saved the life of someone in cardiac arrest by utilizing his recent CPR training. Officer Fulford exemplifies three of the Paradigm Core Values: Commitment, Client Focus and Professionalism. Pictured with James Spurgeon, Director of Operations on the right.

September 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Casey O'Kelley

Officer O’Kelley has been an “All-Star” since he joined Team Paradigm a year ago.  He has worked various client sites, oftentimes with little or no notice – and no complaints. He ALWAYS acts and looks professional which has caught the attention of clients and their staff who routinely praise him. For every assignment, he shows up on time, looking professional and performs the tasks and duties required and requested of him. He has won the hearts and minds of several clients. Officer O’Kelley is trained as a patrol driver. He’s regularly scheduled at high visibility client sites which requires Officer O’Kelley to be both proactive and responsive. His work ethic and attention to detail ensure he performs his patrol rounds effectively and thoroughly documents his findings. Professionalism and Client Focus are two Paradigm Core Values exemplified by Officer O’Kelley.

August 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Maureen Riley

Officer Maureen Riley is being recognized for her versatility and reliability throughout a busy and demanding summer. Officer Riley put to good use all the training she received by working at a variety of different client sites. She took on extra shifts while remaining committed to her primary duties for a residential high-rise apartment client. As client requirements shifted, Officer Riley was ready to follow orders and do what was necessary to serve. She has consistently represented Team Paradigm with positivity and professionalism. For almost two years, Officer Riley has done a terrific job for our clients, but she’s been an extraordinary team player these last several months.

May 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Sasha Spurgeon

Officer Sasha Spurgeon has been working for Paradigm for almost one year. During this time, she has worked numerous client sites. Officer Spurgeon has consistently reported for her assigned shifts on-time, dutifully managed her responsibilities and reliably completed her patrol scans and reports. In May 2020, she was assigned to a new client site to cover the day shifts. In addition to her private security duties, the client’s site supervisor needed her to also take on other tasks such as passing out flyers to residents, accompanying construction staff to designated rooms and monitoring individual apartments when workers were inside. Officer Spurgeon has developed a positive rapport and gained the trust of the site supervisor and staff. Her private security training to be attentive, display professionalism and respond to the needs of the client have been acknowledged and are greatly appreciated by the client.

April 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month James Head

Officer James "Jimmy" Head joined the Paradigm Team in early 2020 after moving back home to Atlanta from Chicago. Officer Head has quickly become one of the Paradigm Operations top go-to Officer. He makes himself available when last-minute shift changes occur or when additional resources are needed. Officer Head helps protect our clients by keeping "boots on the ground" at their sites - many of who need round the clock private security.

Teamwork and commitment are two Paradigm Core Values of which Officer Head has consistently displayed with excellence. Jimmy Head is an eight year U.S. Army veteran and has worked in the security industry for many years.

March 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Tammy Reed

Officer Reed was instrumental in preventing theft from a client’s construction site in March 2020. Reed was on night duty when she detected, stopped and chased away three trespassers/potential thieves. She followed them and obtained descriptions of persons and their vehicle. She then completed well -written reports on the incident. Reed is frequently assigned to Paradigm’s “Command” where she also does an excellent job. During her "Command" duty, she takes calls from staff and clients to fill vacant posts and handle a myriad of issues. She also effectively documents incidents on Command reports which are consistently well written and detailed. Thank you, Officer Reed, for using your training and skills to protect our client's assets and serving with excellence in our Command Operations. Pictured with Rick Strawn.

February 2020 Paradigm's Security Officer of the Month Evenah Johnson

Officer Johnson has been with Paradigm Security Services since December 2019 and has already proven her performance, professionalism and dedication. Most recently, while doing patrols at a high profile site, Officer Johnson spotted a suspicious person. This person was hiding by the bushes and wearing all black. Officer Johnson followed procedures and radioed the inside Security Officer to watch the suspicious person while she called 911. Police arrived and removed the person from the property. The client praised Officer Johnson for her outstanding work and report, which included excellent pictures. Great job, Evenah Johnson! PIctured with Edward (Ed) Aycock, Security and Safety Services Director.
